CASE MAREL: ENHANCING AND IMPROVING DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION UNIT WITH SIMCENTER FLOEFD |

Marel, a leading supplier of advanced food processing and water treatment equipment, wanted to know if they could extend their existing model range of concrete Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) units with a next larger one. They also wanted to know if they could assess risks and performance without actually building the unit, which would be prohibitive from a costs and risks perspective. It started with the design of a larger concrete DAF. After that, they started improving the existing stainless steel DAF series and the existing concrete DAF. DAF units are crucial for the pre-treatment process of wastewater. |
